People who can’t find what they’re looking for in existing homes for sale usually have two choices; either stay in the home they’re currently in or decide to build a custom home that has the floor plan and amenities they want. Having been a custom luxury home builder for a little over 22 years, I’ve noticed a couple common and consistent mistakes people tend to make when pursuing this direction. It’s understandable, deciding to build your dream home can lead to a euphoric state of mind.
Probably one of the better reasons for employing a designer, is the fact that they can save you money in the long run. A good Interior Designer will have access to all the best furniture, carpet, fabric houses, lighting engineers and suppliers in the world.
Luxury TV watching isn’t really that simple. I mean we’re talking some huge coin here. Breaking it down we have a room, room design, room art, chair, table, TV, and cable provider. Going over every aspect of luxury home design viewing might take some time, but hitting up on some of the finer points couldn’t hurt.
Homes should look comfortable. Comfort is the ultimate luxury and buyers love it and want to stay. So if you’re trying to make a decision, let comfort rule. Comfort is feeling like you can sit down on the sofa, floor or window seat and feel at home in your Sunday best or Friday night pajamas.
Room art is where it’s at. Chances are most people even luxury designer thinking of diving into this crazy idea are more than likely sports nuts. Fill that room with signed sports paraphernalia, trophies, posters, logos, and anything one can get their hands on. There isn’t anything more awesome than walking into a room and being remind of some of the greats.
When the designer is at the beginning of his career and not well known, designer dresses can be relatively cheap and in good quality, so one could save some money by getting them.
Like I said in the first half of this post, luxury design bags are made of quality materials. Many bags will have metal tags/plates, zippers and buttons that will all be made out of some type of metal. You will never see a handbag that is authentic with plastic “Hardware”. The hardware should also be quality. Most bags will be made of either gold or silver. Sometimes the hardware could be “plated” which means that there is a low-end metal, with a high-end metal covering it.
They say home is where the heart is, so it is important to love where you live if you plan to stay there very long. It helps to work with a good real estate agent when searching for an existing home and a reputable contractor when you are ready to build. Some people put down roots and stay in the same house all their lives and pass the home down through the generations. Others like to move from place to place every few years to experience life in different cities and climates.
Your knock off purse will be a hit between you and all of your friends. And you know what the best thing is? You don’t have to tell your friends that it is a knock off purse. That’s right, they don’t have to know that you didn’t pay a few thousand dollars for your purse. If you don’t want them to have one like yours, don’t let on that you bought the purse at the local Wal-Mart, or K-Mart, or Payless Shoe Source. Let them think you picked it up on your last trip to New York City or Vegas. It’s your secret.
